Opaque pops

Why white prints best
Edible ink on a frosting sheet works like any inkjet print — a white base gives you the full colour range. Dark pops like black or purple can still receive your image beautifully, but very light colours in the design may appear more muted. Our most colour-accurate prints are always on white.

Which colour gives the best photo print?
White opaque lollipops give the most accurate, vibrant result because edible ink works best against a white base -- exactly like any inkjet printer. All colours accept the print, but white gives the crispest detail. It is our bestseller for good reason.
What is the difference between opaque and clear?
Opaque lollipops are solid colour and give the clearest photo prints. Clear lollipops are translucent -- light passes through them giving a stained-glass effect. Images on clear pops have a unique, artistic quality where lighter areas in the photo reveal the candy colour beneath.
What flavour is the white lollipop?
The white opaque lollipop is toasted marshmallow flavoured. It is our bestselling flavour and the best surface for photo printing. If you are unsure which colour to choose, white is always a safe and delicious answer.
What flavour is the black lollipop?
The black lollipop is black cherry with a hint of anise, handmade in-house using activated charcoal and black gel food colouring. It is our most dramatic pop and a regular request for Halloween, goth-themed weddings and corporate events that want to stand out. Please allow an extra 24 hours for black pop orders.
Are the lollipops gluten-free and kosher?
Yes. All edible inks and frosting sheets used by Imagipop are FDA-compliant, gluten-free and kosher certified. The candy itself is made with standard confectionery ingredients. If you have specific allergen concerns please contact us before ordering.
Can I order multiple flavours in the same order?
Yes. You can use different lollipop colours and flavours across sheets in the same order, and you can also request a mixed colour sheet where each of the 9 pops in a sheet is a different colour. Just include a note at checkout specifying your preferred mix.
Do dark lollipops print photos well?
Dark colours like black and purple can still receive your image, but very light areas in the design may appear more muted against a dark background. For the most accurate photo reproduction, choose a lighter colour. For bold logos and high-contrast artwork, dark pops can look dramatic and striking.
How long do the lollipops stay fresh?
Imagipops stay fresh for 4 to 6 weeks when stored individually wrapped in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate -- humidity causes the candy surface to become sticky and the printed image to deteriorate.
